Credentials
CareerWell courses and activities lead to graduate credentials such as certificates and digital badges, which can be used to display one’s development in key areas on LinkedIn profiles, personal websites, and other professional media.
NEW – The Graduate Certificate in Innovation, Leadership & Management
Effective immediately, the Graduate Certificate in Innovation, Leadership, & Management (GCILM) replaces the Graduate Certificate in Business Fundamentals (GCBF). However, Carolina graduate students admitted to pursue the GCBF before December 2020 may continue completion of GCBF requirements and earn the certificate upon completion. OR, previously admitted students may contact Dr. Jason Cramer (cramerj@email.unc.edu) if they instead intend to pursue the new certificate. Graduate students who were not previously pursuing the GCBF but are interested in pursuing the new certificate should contact Dr. Cramer to notify him of their intent. Read More >

What is a digital badge?
A digital micro-credential representing an accomplishment or skill development that can be displayed, accessed, and verified online (see example to the right). These badges can be used to support your personal brand by incorporating them into LinkedIn profiles, personal websites, resumes, and other media as a visual display of your professional development.
We are currently developing several new digital badges, including Level 1 and Level 2 badges for the areas shown above.
