Three Minute Thesis Competition – Fall 2017

Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ). The exercise challenges graduate students to present a compelling oration on their thesis topic and its significance in just three minutes. 3MT® develops academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports the development of research students’ capacity to effectively explain their research in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
The preliminary rounds of the 3MT® will take place on Monday October 23 and Wednesday October 25th from 3-4:30pm at the Graduate Student Center. Final round of 10 finalists will be Wednesday, November 1 from 4:00-5:30pm.
Master’s and Doctoral students enrolled at UNC from any discipline are welcome to register and participate.
