Teaching GRADually: The Power of Peer-to-Peer Voices

October 19, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

For graduate students, entering the classroom as a first-time instructor can be daunting. While there is no shortage of teaching advice from seasoned educators, our peers can offer a different perspective—one rooted in the uncertainties, challenges, and victories of teaching for the first time in an increasingly diverse and dynamic educational landscape. These voices are immensely valuable, but they have largely been absent from the pedagogical literature…until now.Through this interactive webinar, the editors of Teaching GRADually: Practical Pedagogy and Classroom Strategies for Graduate Students, by Graduate Students will provide insight into the process of compiling advice and anecdotes from graduate student instructors, highlight select chapters, and lead discussions on strategies that any new instructor could implement in their own teaching.
