Starting at the End: Backward Course Design

What should students learn by the end of your course? How will they learn and how will they know they learned what they should are key questions instructors need to answer for themselves and for their students. This workshop will introduce the idea of Backward Course Design and essential components to design an effective learning environment. Participants will create measurable learning objectives, outline lessons to address these objectives, and learn about tools to assess student learning. Lunch provided.
