DMV Mobile Unit

The goal of the NC DMV Mobile Unit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKT3RCpDR00&feature=youtu.be) is to get individuals REAL-ID compliant. We will offer REAL ID compliant DL’s and ID Cards both duplicate ($13.00) or renewal if within 180 days of expiration ($40.00).  https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/driver/realid/ for full details about what IDs are required to bring with you. We are not offering any road testing, motorcycle, CDL, learner’s permits, or vehicle registrations. Open to UNC graduate students, faculty, and staff. Proof of insurance (showing name, not expired, not post-dated) and all documentation needs to be in hardcopy format (NOT electronic) and photocopies and alternate documents will not be accepted based on federal guidelines . Printing services are NOT provided at this site. International students are eligible for Real-ID with required documents: passport with a valid stamp, I20, I94 and 2 proof of address. Please arrive at your appointment with all the necessary documentation in hardcopy format. We accept Visa, American Express, MasterCard, personnel check or cash with exact amount.
