Developing a Teaching Statement and Portfolio

Participants will assess their own teaching style and be able to communicate important aspects to a faculty search committee via a teaching statement.  During this workshop, participants will learn how to prepare a competitive application package for teaching-oriented careers.  Participants will work through several activities to communicate how they conceptualize learning, how they envision their teaching style and how to align claims made about teaching with documentation in a teaching portfolio.  Lunch provided.
