Cross-Cultural Communication: Implicit Bias, Stereotype Threat, Imposter Syndrome

November 2, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The student-led Cross-Cultural Leadership Development (CCLD) committee facilitates workshops to empower the next generation of student leaders by encouraging the understanding of various cultural perspectives, providing an opportunity for self-reflection, and developing skills to implement in their professional career. Having an increasingly diverse global workforce, future leaders should be able to deal with diversity in order to be more successful. There are many factors influencing  the way we think, some of which limit our interaction with others. In this workshop we will focus on the following three concepts: Implicit Bias, Stereotype Threat, and Imposter Syndrome. We will explain what they are, how you can recognize them, how they impact leaders, and how you can deal with them in your workplace.
